Addictions have traditionally been understood to be with either substances or behaviour that, done to excess, can be harmful to our bodies and to our lives. In this new era, is this still true or have we managed to also slip a few ‘acceptable’ addictions under the radar? And what does this mean for us as family members, as partners, as work colleagues, as professionals?
Whether your addictions are an obvious struggle or characterised by a subtler outplay, these discussion groups are offered as a way of openly discussing, exploring and unpacking why we are turning more and more to addictions as a way of coping with life.
The open forums are run on the basis that first and foremost all of us have a depth within us that is both universal and equal with the all. It is from this premise that we invite you to join us in deepening this topic.
We understand that addiction can be a sensitive topic for many; thus this group will come together in the knowing that connection, decency, respect, consideration, understanding and acceptance will form our foundation.
